PIPP provides substance abuse prevention education to youth, and resources, training, and services to any community partners interested in supporting youth drug and alcohol abuse prevention.
PIPP provides trainings, meetings, community-based activities, events, and evidence-based programs such as Parents Who Host Lose the Most and Too Good for Drugs. This program primarily serves the communities of Troup and Meriwether Counties.
Goals
As a community initiative, PIPP are working to reduce access to alcohol, as well as reduce binge drinking among 9-20 year olds. The strategies employed are:
- Reduction of Social Availability
- Reduction of Retail Availability
- Increase in Positive Social and Community Norms
PIPP is also working to reduce the use and change the perception of use of marijuana among 9-17-year-olds. The strategies employed are:
- Increase in Positive Social Norms
- Implementation of Too Good for Drugs
