Services Provided: First United Methodist Church of LaGrange provides a soup kitchen on Mondays and Wednesdays. On Monday mornings, the church provides a a hot meal vistors can eat inside or take out. On Wednesdays, the meal provided is a to-go sack lunch. Both days, the meal distribution starts at 11:30 AM and ends at noon.
Through FUMC's Community Care Program, the church works with Holmes Pharmacy to assist with prescription medication costs. the program is open on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM. Through the program, participants receive a voucher to take to Holmes Pharmacy to get their medication.
Both programs are located the west end of the church. Participants must enter our last parking lot off Broad Street.

Services Provided: Just up the steps from the Thread at 408 Broad Street, the Broad Street Church of Christ stocks and maintains a blessing box that helps feed many people in the community. They stock it from its pantry multiple times a day, but also accept personal donations to the box. The church also offers a sandwich ministry held on each Wednesday at 5:45PM where the members of the Church gather to make sandwiches for the local community. About 150 sandwiches are given out each Friday in addition to a hot meal that the Servant Scholars from LaGrange College serve.

Services Provided: Camp Dogwood is a free, one day event for children who are entering First to Seventh Grade from Troup, Coweta, Heard, Meriwether and Harris counties who have experienced the loss of a loved one. Created in 1997 as an outreach of West Georgia Hospice, it now serves up to 60 children each summer with the help of about 80 volunteers.

Services Provided: The Children’s Advocacy Center of Troup County serves as the central hub for coordinated systems and family-centered practice approach to child abuse investigations which involve allegations of sexual, physical or extreme emotional abuse as well as investigations involving children who have been commercially and sexually exploited as well as children that have been witness to a violent crime.
The organization conducts legally sound, forensic interviews and sexual assault exams for all arms of law enforcement and Child Protective Services (DFCS) as well as follow-up, trauma-focused victim support services for victims and/or non-offending caregivers. Provides administrative duties as well as oversight of the county-wide Child Abuse Protocol and Child Fatality Review for the Office of the District Attorney’s Office.

Services Provided: Circles of Troup County works with people who are motivated to move out of poverty and matches them with middle- and high-income volunteers who can support and encourage them on their journey. Beginning with a 12-week class, Circles of Troup County teaches skills, goal-setting and financial literacy specifically designed for people who don’t make enough money.
After completing the 12-week class, each person/family is matched with volunteers as well as continuing to attend weekly meetings with others working toward the same financial goals.
Meetings are every Thursday with dinner served from 5:30 - 6:15PM and the meeting and Circles Kids program from 6:15 - 7:45PM at: Troup Baptist Association (across from Berta Wethersbee Elementary School) on 1301 Washington St.

Foster Grandparent volunteers serve up to 40 hours per week as a role model, a mentor, and a friend. - Crisis Assistance: Individuals in need of crisis management will receive 24/7 mobile response to assess the situation, de-escalate the crisis, consult and refer with post crisis follow-up to assure linkage with recommended services.
- Routine Service Access: For consumers with less intense needs, the call center staffs are able to offer consumers choice of providers and to schedule appointments for services. Consumers are able to specify the distance they are willing to travel and the call center identifies service providers within that proximity to the individual’s zip code location.

- Disease Management / Patient Education --- Our full time Program Manager / Registered Nurse is able to work with each patient and outline an individual program of care for each. The Disease Management Program covers everything from proper diet, proper prescription drug usage, how to refill prescriptions at the proper time, etc. We have also established a Patient / Clinic Responsibility document for review with each new patient as they arrive at the clinic for their initial visit. Services Provided: Under the guidance of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the SSVF program, promotes housing stability among very low-income veterans and their families who reside in or are transitioning to permanent housing. Using an intensive case management model, the program provides a variety of services including counseling as related to housing, financial management, vocation, education and daily living skills. We also provide assistance with obtaining transportation, VA and other public benefits, health care, legal and childcare services.

Turnaround: Currently open until the day before school starts. The program serves 12 year old children from 7:30 AM to 5PM. They offer morning devotion, skating, games, playground time and possibly swimming. Parents provide breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack. The camp provides morning snack. Geeter Soccer Camp
Phone: (706) 880 - 8283Located at Panther Field on the LaGrange College Callaway Campus. This is a soccer camp for boys and girls 5 to 14. Instruction will center on age-appropriate technical proficiency and tactical awareness through individual skill drills, game situations, and scrimmages.
All campers must provide their own shin guards but will receive a camp T-shirt.

Ramp Camp (Reading and Math Practice Camp)

This FREE program aims to improve basic subject abilities and help the student assimilate into their fall classes with more confidence and better success.
This program is hosted every Tuesday during June and July at the Williams Griggs Center from 9AM - Noon.

Troup High Tigers Camp – 2024 Youth Basketball Camp
